2. Diego Maradona, Argentina (Diego Armando Maradona), Forward

He was for whole decade the number1 player in the Game of Football. The Argentina Football would never be the same after his retirement! He shined long time past after Pele retired. But it would be the real honor for him to be the number 2 on this list!

Eusebio have done many great things to the Game of Football and the Portugal team. He played in different times after Pele was gone from the field. Those two players never played against each other. But his merits are guaranteed him the number 3 spot on this list!  "The Black Panther" is considered Portugal’s greatest ever soccer player. Scorer of nine goals at the 1966 World Cup finals, Eusébio possessed explosive pace and deceptive ability. The forward turned out for a host of teams, but his best years were spent with Benfica where he averaged more than a goal a game.

4. Garrincha, Brazil (Manuel Francisco dos Santos)

You should see Garrincha playing football. Garrincha was and is one of the 10 best player in the world.

He was a footbal artist, a player with an unique dribbling style. And he scored almost every time!

In 1958 and 1962, Garrincha won the FIFA World Cup with the Brazil national team. At the 1962 World Cup, with Pelé out injured, he led the team to victory, received the Golden Ball for player of the tournament, the Golden Boot as leading goalscorer, and was named in the World Cup All-Star Team. In 1994 he was named in the FIFA World Cup All-Time Team. Brazil never lost a match while fielding both Garrincha and Pelé.

 

5. Michel Platini  France, MidFielder 

A star with teams Nants, St-Etienne and Juventus the Platini was a European champion for club and country after winning the 1984 European Championship with France and the European Cup the following year with  Juventus. One of the best passers in soccer history and an expert free-kick taker, the attacking midfielder scored nine goals in that 1984 triumph.
